The University of Nevada, Reno is seeking a Coordinator, Aquatics & Facility Operations within Fitness and Recreational Sports (FRS). This position provides operational leadership and oversees the day-to-day management of the Lombardi Recreation Center’s aquatic facilities, programs, and student staff, ensuring a safe, inclusive, and well-maintained environment for the campus community. The Coordinator is responsible for all aspects of aquatic operations, including compliance with state regulations, risk management, staffing, and facility maintenance. In addition, this role contributes to program development, instruction, scheduling, and fiscal oversight for the Lombardi Recreation Pool and adjacent FRS spaces.
This position plays a key role in student development through the recruitment, training, and supervision of lifeguards and head lifeguards. The Coordinator also supports academic courses, fosters community partnerships, and collaborates with campus departments to maximize utilization of FRS facilities. This role reports directly to the Director of Fitness and Recreational Sports.
Bachelor’s Degree and two (2) years of related work experience OR Master’s Degree and one (1) year of related work experience.
