Coastal Carolina University is currently accepting applications for the following full-time position: Assistant Director of Peer Education in the LiveWell Office.
The Assistant Director of Peer Education is responsible for the coordination, implementation, and ongoing support of LiveWell’s peer education initiatives. This position provides day-to-day leadership for student peer educators and oversees peer-led programming that promotes student well-being across the nine dimensions of wellness. The Assistant Director supports program development, digital engagement, assessment, and campus collaboration to ensure peer education efforts are effective, evidence-informed, and aligned with departmental goals and institutional priorities.

Required Qualifications: Master’s degree in health and/or wellness-related programs/majors and experience in student services programs. Experience supervising student employees.
Preferred Qualifications: Master’s degree in public health or health education; CHES certified; experience creating university-wide programs and campaigns with college students.
Duties include, but are not limited to:
Peer Educator Training and Supervision: Provide day-to-day leadership for the peer education program, including recruitment, hiring, training, scheduling, supervision, and performance evaluation of student peer educators. Support the ongoing development of peer educators to ensure effective delivery of wellness education and peer-led initiatives aligned with departmental goals.
Program Development and Implementation: Develop, implement, and oversee campus-wide peer education initiatives designed to address student well-being across the nine dimensions of wellness. Ensure programs are evidence-informed, developmentally appropriate, and aligned with departmental goals.
Social Media and Digital Engagement: Oversee departmental social media and digital engagement activities, guiding student contributors to develop content that supports LiveWell’s mission and student well-being initiatives.
Assessment and Evaluation: Conduct ongoing assessment and evaluation of peer education initiatives, including student learning outcomes and program effectiveness. Stay informed of emerging trends and best practices in peer education and prevention work, and use data and feedback to inform continuous program improvement.
Collaboration and Coordination: Collaborate with campus and community partners to expand the reach and effectiveness of peer education initiatives. Support coordinated efforts that enhance visibility, reduce duplication, and strengthen campus-wide approaches to student well-being.
Student Services Coordinator II (CB70/61122194/FTE-S01140P), full-time position with benefits. SC State Pay Grade: GEN07. Salary range: $39,300.00 (minimum) – $65,000.00 (maximum). Normal work hours are Monday through Thursday, 8:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m. and Friday 8:00 a.m. to 12:30 p.m. Must be flexible to meet the special scheduling needs of the university.
