Program Specifics: University Recreation is accepting applications for the Manager – Facility Operations position. This position will report to & work collaboratively with the Assistant Director – Facility Operations. In conjunction with the Assistant Director, this individual will oversee the day-to-day operations of the Student Recreation Center and supervise the Facilities student staff. In this leadership role, a non-traditional work schedule will be expected during the fall and spring semesters. This will include evening and weekend leadership and engagement with student staff and participants.
Work as a member of the Facility Operations team which includes an Associate Director, Assistant Director, and Manager to deliver quality facilities for the Texas Tech community
Interview, select, train, supervise, schedule, and evaluate 12 Facility Supervisors, 8 Facility Staff Trainers, and 60 Facility Assistants
Review policies and procedures for all facility operations
Manage the comprehensive cleaning and detailing of strength & conditioning equipment
Inventory and purchasing for Equipment Issue checkout items and Sports Shop sale items
Track facility usage and statistical data for use in monthly reports and purchasing decisions
Required Qualifications Bachelor's degree with two years supervisory experience; OR a combination of education and/or supervisory experience to equal six years.
Master’s degree in a related field
Three or more years of supervisory experience in facility management and staff supervision
Experience with Innosoft Fusion
American Red Cross First Aid/CPR/AED Certification
American Red Cross First Aid/CPR/AED Instructor certification within one year
