Manages a sub unit within a department. Plans, organizes and develops goals and procedures. Represents the sub unit to administrators, outside agencies and others on relevant matters. Supervises subordinate staff.
Interview, hire, train, schedule and evaluate 5-8 undergraduate staff.
Ensure front-line staff provides quality customer service at all times.
Recruit new members, create a comprehensive outreach calendar to present to university departments and community organizations on the benefits to becoming a member of Recreational Sports and the Student Recreation Center.
Create and promote various member incentive programs to aid in retention of current members.
Collaborate with Associate Director of Membership and Student Success to establish goals specific to annual membership and locker revenue.
Maintain accurate reports detailing Daily Guest membership sales as well as Monthly, Semester and Annual membership and locker inventory and sales.
Ensure that members are appropriately informed of upcoming events, maintenance closures, facility improvements, etc.
Oversee all membership documents, waiver management, and ensure that membership registration procedures are accurate and efficient.
Bachelor's degree with two years supervisory experience; OR a combination of education and/or supervisory experience to equal six years.
Bachelor’s degree required. Master’s preferred
Previous supervision of student staff members with demonstrated skill in group leadership.
Previous experience developing, promoting, and managing student-directed, student-centered programs.
Previous experience providing superior customer service and/or managing a team that provides customer service in a high volume environment.
Excellent oral and written communication skills; strong public speaking ability.
Ability to work as part of and lead a team that collaborates effectively with colleagues
Excellent organizational skills and the ability to coordinate multiple projects and meet deadlines.
Superb attention to detail
Knowledge of Windows-based computer systems and Microsoft applications
