Position Description Directs, plans, coordinates and supervises the operation and activities of a specialized unit or small department; develops and implements policies and procedures, administers the budget, organizes tasks and sets priorities. Serves as liaison with university personnel and community at large. Works under general supervision with broad latitude for initiative and independent judgment.
Directs, plans, coordinates & supervises the operation of the regional program
Responsible for meeting mission, goals & objectives of this department
Ensure budget compliance through timely oversight & accurate forecasting
Learn and be proficient working with Texas Tech budgeting & accounting policies & procedures
Excellent written and oral communication skills
Responsible for achieving & reporting metrics required by regulatory agencies
Must develop & maintain business & collaborative partnerships throughout the region
Proficient in Microsoft programs
Supervisory staff experience
Required Qualifications Bachelor's degree in related area required plus five years progressively responsible management experience. Additional education may substitute for experience on a year for year basis.
Have certification in ISO 9000:2015, Lean Six Sigma and/or other quality systems implementation certification
Master's degree in engineering. Over five plus years of manufacturing or related work experience
