What We Expect From You
Leadership and supervision of a fitness staff of 20-25 employees
Assistance in creation of budgetary goals, budget management, and purchasing of fitness equipment
Implementation of assessment programs that track student engagement, student learning outcomes, and student satisfaction relative to fitness programs
Serves as lead coordinator of Freshman Fit small group training program
Assistance with execution of ACE Group Fitness and Personal Training Instructor Training programs
Assistance with supervision of MT Nutrition Team and implementation of nutrition based ideas and programs
Develops ideas and assists with delivering a comprehensive marketing plan for fitness programs
Works collaboratively with various departments internally and externally in the creation of fitness and wellness programs
Assistance in the creation of the group fitness schedule
Coordinates and assists in execution of special events and programs
Other duties as assigned

What We Require
Must be accepted into MTSU graduate school and academic program of your choice
Must enroll in at least 6 credit hours per semester and maintain at least a 3.0 GPA
A Bachelor’s degree in Exercise Science, Kinesiology, Recreation, Health Promotion or other closely related field
Must be CPR/First Aid/AED certified or willing to obtain certification upon hire
Strong interpersonal leadership and communication skills
Positive attitude and creative mindset
What We Prefer
Experience in teaching and evaluating group fitness programs
Experience in personal training and evaluating personal training programs
Certifications in personal training and/or group fitness from NASM, ACE, ACSM, ISSA etc
