Organize, direct, and manage daily operations of the Fitness Program for Campus Recreation Services (CRS). This includes overall management, scheduling, and the hiring, training, supervision, and evaluation of staff.
Directly manage the Fitness Program to include: Group Fitness Classes, Personal Training, Massage Therapy, Instructional classes and Creative Wellness programming. Recruit, hire, train, schedule, supervise, evaluate and actively mentor all Fitness Program staff. Plan, develop, and schedule a wide variety of classes that will meet the needs of the University Community, while anticipating and responding to both current users and national trends. Develop, implement, and manage all of operations for the Personal Training Massage Therapy, and Creative Wellness programs. Responsible for the operating, preparation, forecasting, and monitoring of income and expense budgets for the Fitness Program. Develop and revise administrative policies and procedures within the Fitness Program. Assess effectiveness and satisfaction of programs, services, and facilities. Coordinate the purchasing, inventory, and maintenance of program related equipment. Manage all relevant program marketing. Assist with department and division wide programs and initiatives.

Bachelor’s degree in a related field, Master's preferred, Plus two years professional experience in fitness program management, including staff training and supervision. Current fitness certification in at least one of the following areas: ACSM, ACE, AFAA, NSCA or comparable. Certification and/or on-going training in Yoga, Pilates, group cycling, dance and/or other specialty fitness programming. Demonstrated experience leading group fitness and instruction classes.
