General Responsibilities: Assist the Assistant Director of Student Activities in the day to day operations, overall development, organization, implementation, and administration of the entire intramural program. Maintain full-time enrollment and be in good standing with the graduate program of your choice. Support and encourage the concept of student leadership and development. Recruit, hire, train, evaluate, and schedule officials and supervisors for all intramural sports. Schedule and maintain intramural leagues and tournaments using IMLeagues scheduling software. Must demonstrate rules knowledge and officiating abilities in a variety of intramural sports. Coordinate and supervise special events and tournaments. Assist and lead captains, officials, and disciplinary meetings. Travel to regional tournaments and conferences to serve on various committees and workgroups. Assist with policy review and rule revisions as needed. Implement and promote new program ideas. Responsible for equipment maintenance and inventory needs throughout the year. Will be required to work evening hours and occasional weekends. CPR/ First Aid certification required.
Candidates must have completed requirements for a Bachelor's degree from an accredited higher education institution. 1-2 years experience working with college students in an Intramural Sports or Recreation program.
The position starts in August 2023.
Compensation includes a Monthly Stipend and Housing.

Fitness:
Assist in managing all aspects of the fitness programing. Instruct group exercise classes as scheduled and as needed. Instruct fitness/group exercise and/or personal training-related clinics and educational programs. Teach and provide instruction on the safe and effective use of weight training and cardiovascular equipment to facility members. Inspect fitness areas and equipment on a scheduled periodic basis, and submit necessary inventory and inspection reports along with requests for equipment repair, maintenance and replacement. Assist in developing, organizing, implementing and evaluating fitness and nutrition-related educational programs and special events. Assist with the hiring, training, supervision, evaluation and developmental opportunities for all fitness program staff. Advise the professional staff on program manuals and guidelines, and enforce procedures and guidelines as appropriate. Assist in conducting fitness assessments and providing exercise prescriptions to the University community and Student Fitness Center members. Assist in managing the personal training program. Ensure the safety of programs through the use of appropriate risk management procedures. Provide accurate information to facility patrons regarding all services available within the facility. Obtain and maintain current CPR certification. Provide assistance with department sponsored Special Events. Assist in the management of the fitness center by being responsible for closing procedures when needed. Participate in professional development activities. Be available for weekend work and special projects as required. Perform other related duties as assigned.
