Coordinate with university facility department and manage day to day operations of the Halas Recreation Center pool.
Hire, train, schedule, and supervise the Halas Recreation Center 30+ Lifeguard staff.
Plan and coordinate monthly in-service trainings for the lifeguard staff covering topics including Emergency Action Planning, Rescue Skills, life threatening injuries and CPR
Provide quarterly certification and challenge of the 30+ member lifeguard staff.
Plan, market and implement a comprehensive swim lesson program.
Coordinate all aquatics and special event planning and presentations.
Facility Management- Halas Recreation Center
Assist in day to day operations of the Halas Recreation Center Facilities Operations:
Assist in the recruitment, hiring, scheduling, training and evaluation of facility operations Halas Recreation Center student employees. (30-40 staff)
Coordinates student training in collaboration with Halas Recreation Center Professional Staff.
Works collaboratively with Fusion software with Business Manager on member and point of sale operations
Assist in the management of facility operations for on campus partner groups and external groups’ reservation and rentals
Coordinate emergency training program to help prepare facility and aquatic staff for various emergency and non-emergency situations
Assist with the training of the department in all cardio pulmonary resuscitation, first aid and AED certifications and ensure staff are complaint with all Red Cross certification
Assist in proper use of waivers and university risk management policies
Life Guard Instructor Certification ( LGI) (or ability to obtain)
Preferred Certifications or ability to acquire over time (we will help obtain)
CPR and First Aid instructor
Water Safety Instructor
