The person in this position is responsible for the overall supervision of the facility, student personnel, participants, and Campus Recreation programs.
Demonstrated experience successfully managing a college or university recreation facility. Familiarity with inspecting facility for risk management or maintenance concerns and resolving problems independently prior to activity. Demonstrated experience in the training and supervision of student employees to accomplish program operations. Availability to work flexible shifts, evenings and weekends when needed. Demonstrated appreciation of diversity and commitment to creating an inclusive environment for students, faculty and staff. Ability to communicate proficiently both verbally and in writing. Familiarity with a broad range of facility and sports equipment and the ability to maintain equipment inventory including procurement and rental operations. Experience with successful event management and/or coordination. Familiarity and comfort with Fusion or similar software package. Working knowledge of facility and equipment maintenance, custodial services and welcome desk operations. Familiarity with outdoor athletic field maintenance. Possess American Red Cross CPR/AED/First Aid Instructor certification or must obtain within the first year of employment. Demonstrated computer skills including Microsoft Office (Excel), Connect2, Microsoft Teams, Fusion or equivalent. Possess AFO certification or equivalent or must be willing to obtain within the first year of employment.

Requirements: Bachelor’s degree from an accredited institution. At least one (1) year (12 months) of supervisory experience in a related (recreation) field. Valid Driver’s License and/or ability to obtain a valid driver’s license.
Additional Salary Information: Commensurate with education and experience; Clerical & Support Skill Level 8.
