The 2-year Professional Internship (PI) at Purdue RecWell is more than a Graduate Assistantship; it is the future for Graduate Assistantships. $25,000, full benefits, and free tuition to earn your Masters! Instead of a traditional 20-hour work week, the Professional Intern works a total of 29 hours per week, which allows for a more comprehensive and competitive financial package that includes health and retirement benefits. $25,000 salary.

Professional Intern - Sport Programs Application Link The Professional Intern for Sport Programs reports to the Assistant Directors of Intramural & Club Sports and is responsible for assisting in all aspects of program development, implementation, and enhancement, potentially including E-Sports. Typical duties will include staff recruitment and training, sport development, league/tournament management, rules design and testing, team oversight and advising, activity and event management, and student development. *Purdue Position Title:Associate Recreation and Wellness Administrator, Sport Programs. Professional Intern - Group Fitness Application Link The Professional Intern for Group Fitness reports to the Assistant Director, Group Fitness & Instructional programs. Responsibilities include management of all areas of group fitness and specialized fitness training programs such as supervision, training, evaluation, programming, recruitment, hiring and scheduling of various fitness instructors and classes. Professional Intern - Fitness Operations & Services Application Link The Professional Intern for Fitness Operations & Services reports to the Assistant Director of Fitness Operations & Services. Responsibilities include management of all fitness spaces within the facility and fitness programming including personal training, studio fitness coaching and general fitness promotion programs. Professional Intern - Nutrition Education Application Link The Professional Intern for Nutrition Education reports to the Assistant Director, Nutrition Education Programs. Responsibilities include oversight of comprehensive and progressive nutrition education programs that meet the demands of the university community while also promoting our mission. This position will supervise and train student Nutrition Coaches as well as oversee a diet analysis service, which provides recommendations for energy needs and general diet recommendations. Professional Intern - Wellness Programs Application Link The Professional Intern for Wellness Programs reports to the Assistant Director, Health and Wellness Programs and works collaboratively with other professional staff to assist in the management of health and wellness programs and student staff. This position will be primarily responsible for overseeing the Wellness Coaching program, the Purdue Substance Free Community, Purdue Fitness Partner program, wellness outreach and will be asked to join a variety of wellness committees on campus. *Purdue Position Title:Associate Recreation and Wellness Administrator, Wellness Programs.
