FSU Campus Recreation currently serves 75% of the student population on campus through various programs and services in fitness, Outdoor Pursuits, FSU Challenge, aquatics, intramural sports, and sport clubs. Campus Rec has an award-winning marketing team of undergraduates, focusing on graphic design, outreach, social media, videography, and photography.
The Graduate Assistant for Marketing works directly with the Assistant Director of Marketing & Special Events to enhance the overall marketing for Campus Recreation. This position is responsible for developing, designing and implementing marketing campaigns for Campus Rec program areas. Campaigns will span digital, social, and print media and will be targeted at various audiences on and off-campus. This position requires strong organization and interpersonal skills.
This position will work with and direct a student team of 12+ undergraduate students in the Marketing department. Work is performed under the supervision of the Assistant Director of Marketing.
The start date for the position is August 10, 2020.
Develop and manage production and promotion of marketing campaigns and materials for program areas and facilities
Assist with coordination and implementation of marketing campaigns and strategies
Collaborate and supervise undergraduate Marketing team of 12+ students
Assist program areas with special event planning and execution
Contribute to website updates and content creation
Assist with development and production of photo and video
Oversee departmental digital signage
Graduate level student scheduled to be enrolled in FSU’s School of Communication pursuing a degree in: Integrated Marketing Communication, Public Interest Media Communication, or Media Communication Studies
A minimum GPA of 3.0 is required for admission to the Graduate School.

Strong professionalism, written, and communication skills

Experience in Adobe Creative Suite

This position is a 10-month appointment with summer work opportunities available. An academic waiver will be provided for in-state tuition for the Fall and Spring semester. Summer waiver is dependent on funding available. A stipend at 20 hours a week will be provided from August to July for the length of the Assistantship. Graduate students have access to health insurance through the University.
