Under the direction of the Associate Director of Athletics and the supervisor of the Assistant Director of Recreation, this position will focus on one of the major areas of Recreation at Saint Leo University, Fitness Center, Aquatics Center, or Intramurals.

Duties and Tasks:
Interview, hire, train, schedule and supervise all student workers
Update rules, handbooks, policies and procedures
Attend university activities and involvement fairs to promote Saint Leo Recreation
Develop a marketing plan for the specific area of Recreation
Provide setup and breakdown, facility maintenance, and place work orders with Facilities Management as needed
Inventory and purchasing of supplies and equipment
Collaborate with other departments on campus such as res life, First Year Experience and Student Affairs
Develop new programming to increase participation
Oversee and track Saint Leo and community member participation for events and facilities
Other duties as assigned
REQUIRED KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS AND ABILITIES:
Enrolled in a Saint Leo University graduate program.
Bachelor's degree from a regionally accredited university or college.
Preferred CPR/AED and First Aid
Preferred Lifeguard certification
Collaborative skills to work effectively with faculty, staff, students and outside community members.
Outstanding written and verbal communication skills.
Strong personal initiative, innovation, and self-motivation.
Dependable, ability to prioritize and organize, multi-task, creative thinker, outgoing, reliable, punctual, willingness and ability to take charge.
Work well with others in individual and group setting.
Previous knowledge, training, or experience is preferred but not required.
Must be able to work a flexible schedule. Including nights and weekends
Must be able to supervise student employees similar in age
Some lifting of objects up to 50lbs, as well as, bending and reaching which may be required in some instances.
Exposure to sun and heat for long periods of time in some positions.
Ability to balance many tasks and responsibilities simultaneously.
Ability to manage time and stress for self and others.
