UW-Eau Claire seeks a full-time Director of Recreation and Sport Facilities. This position is within the Division of Student Affairs at the University of Wisconsin-Eau Claire and reports to the Vice Chancellor for Student Affairs.
Supervise all programs, activities, and functions including: Intramurals, Sport Clubs, Environmental Adventure Center/Outdoor Recreation, Open Recreation, Crest Fitness Center, McPhee Strength & Performance Center, Bowling & Billiards Center, Group Exercise, Fitness and Wellness programs, Special Events, Challenge Ropes Course, Climbing Wall, Archery Range, Disc Golf Course, Aquatics, Massage Therapy, Internship program, Marketing & Graphic Design and Information Technology.
Manage the Bollinger Fields Complex and provide administrative oversight of the McPhee/Olson/Simpson Complex, Hilltop Center, and Crest Fitness Center.
Plan, develop and administer the Recreation and Sport Facilities annual budget, and ensure ongoing financial analysis and accountability.
Make decisions regarding services and supplies, capital planning, and equipment repair/replacement expenditures.
Oversee recruitment, training, supervision and evaluation of the Recreation and Sport Facilities staff.
Advise administration, staff and students regarding the development of policy and facilities for recreational opportunities, and provide direction and leadership for ongoing evaluation of existing programs and the development and implementation of new programs, services and facilities.
Serve on the Deans and Directors committee, and work collaboratively with many other campus departments and individuals within the university campus, the city of Eau Claire, and other organizations and businesses within the community.
Master’s Degree in a related field from a regionally accredited institution.
Minimum five years of experience in a comprehensive campus recreation program.
Minimum five years of experience in supervision of full-time professional staff.
Minimum five years of experience managing shared-use sports/recreation facilities.
Experience in budget and financial management.
Excellent interpersonal, oral and written communication skills.
Ability to build trust and consensus.
Ability to manage multiple priorities with excellent organizational and delegation skills.

Additional Salary Information: Salary will be commensurate with experience.
