As an auxiliary organization of California State University San Marcos, University Auxiliary and Research Services Corporation (UARSC) plays an important role in the campus community, existing to provide support, advance the purposes and goals, and meet the evolving needs of the University. UARSC accomplishes its mission through its various entrepreneurial operations and its focus on the administration of sponsored programs, human resource and payroll services, and management of commercial enterprises, including childcare services, campus dining services, and bookstore operations. UARSC also provides HR and Payroll services to the San Marcos University Corporation. The San Marcos University Corporation is one of four auxiliaries that supports the educational mission of CSU San Marcos. Established as a not for profit corporation under IRS tax code as a section 501(c)3 entity, the University Corporation has oversight of various campus support services, including University Village Apartments, the Clarke Fieldhouse, the University Student Union, Campus Recreation programs, and Events and Conference Services (including Commencement).
